Rocío Heredia is an Award winning Artist specializing in traditional metalsmithing techniques of Chasing and Repousse to raise intricate designs on silver, copper, gold, brass and tin. Rocio has been the recipient of recognition and awards for skillful and passionately realized themes. It's BTDesign's pleasure to award Rocío Heredia with this Exhibition, with the best compliments of the Jury and Gallery owner. The basic technique for creating repoussé is an ancient one, with specific techniques, tools, and materials dependant on history and culture. The work of Rocío Heredia reflects the tradition that evolved in Mexico, a tradition rich in the complexities of Spanish conquest and the aboriginal Aztec and Teotihuacan societies. Rocio has studied with the Master Valentin Yotkov and Master Dolores Valenza, in New York. Her works are in public and private collections in Mexico, the United States, Switzerland, Israel, Spain and Italy. Rocio holds a Degree in Psychology and currently divides her time between professional website creation, graphic design and metalwork. Rocio is available and teaches private classes and workshops on her Chasing and Repousse technique in Mexico and abroad. Silvia Vera Guevara was born in 1969 in Rosario, Argentina. She teaches Visual Arts and is National Professor of Painting, graduated at the National School of Fine Arts “Prilidiano Pueyrredón” in Buenos Aires.

She was a scholarship holder in 1996 with Profesor Guillermo Cuello in his atelier in Buenos Aires. Also in 1999, she was a scholarship holder for the French-Italian Cultural Center “Joseph Stella” for a stage in Muro Lucano, Potenza, Italy. The project management was in charge of Dr. Salvatore Pagliuca. Some of her one-woman shows were held at "Newspaper Clarín Gallery", "Medical Center Gallery" and "Auditorium Cultural Center" in Mar del Plata in 1999.

Silvia Vera Guevara also participated a lot of collective exhibitions, for example: National School of Fine Arts Exhibition (Recoleta Cultural Center, Buenos Aires, 1997), the Second Meeting the Artists with Bollini (Bollini Fundation, Buenos Aires, Argentina,1996) and Show for the Aniversary of Mar del Plata City Fundation (Hotel 13 of July Gallery, Mar del Plata 1995).

Her paintings were chosen in many national and international prizes: 66 Saloon COAP (Auditorium Cultural center 1999), Award 1996 Dr. Arturo Jauretche (Hystoric Museum of Buenos Aires Province Bank), Saloon of Little Format Juan Antolín (Juan Martín de Pueyrredón Cultural Center 1995), First National Saloon of the Sea (Auditorium Cultural Center 1994), First, Second an Third Municipal Saloon of Painting with national participation (Río Gallegos 1995).

Among her awards, Silvia Vera Guevara received a Mention in Painting in the Second Regional Universitary Saloon of Drawing and Painting (Medical Center Gallery 1995), a Second Mention in Painting in the Autumm Saloon (General Pueyrredón Cultural Center 1993) and a First Award in Drawing at the Annual Saloon of Artists (ONU Library, Mar del Plata 1993).
